If you are looking for an itinerary little known by tourists, a short distance from the Tahiti hotel in Viareggio but special and almost enchanted, we recommend an excursion to the natural 'pools' of Malbacco (a small town in the municipality of Seravezza in the province of Lucca) at the foot of the Alps Apuane, to spend a wonderful summer day immersed in lush nature.

A real corner of paradise, with rock slides and the turquoise pool "the Madonna's Well" set among the rocks, an almost fairy-tale place where you can dive in and go out younger, also because the water is very cold :)

In recent years this splendid natural corner has been targeted by many poorly educated tourists, who parked wildly and left waste and dirt along the banks of the Serra stream from Desiata to Pozzo della Madonna.

From that moment on, a transit ban was issued by the municipal administration of Seravezza. Therefore the car must be left a little early and a walk of about 2 km awaits you, the first part on the road and the second part through the forest on paths that are quite simple to follow, and which will in any case help you admire the nature of the place in all its splendor.

If you don't want to reach the "Madonna's well", near the car park there are the first "Malbacco waterfalls", very easy to reach and with walls for spectacular dives.
